Leather Accessory Source News and Information

Choosing that perfect bag can often be intimidating. After all, a bag can say a lot about who you are and what you do. Rest assured though that there are plenty of options to choose from that come in a variety of colors, materials and sizes. But with so many factors to consider, it can be challenging to know where to begin. With that said, let us give you a primer to start your search.

First and foremost! Select the right bag for both your lifestyle and your personal style. Practicality and functionality are the primary contributing factors to selecting the perfect bag.

For most guy’s lifestyles, you’ll want something made from a rugged and durable material like suede, leather, or canvas. Be careful not to choose bags that look super fashion-forward but have no space to hold the things you carry around on a daily basis like books, a tablet, or other essentials. It’s so much easier as a guy to choose and carry a bag around when you know it’s serving a practical purpose.

Here is a list of the top five men’s bags for any situation:

1.       The Duffel Bag

This should absolutely be your go-to bag if you’re unsure of your specific needs. It’s a great default option because of its multi-use functionality. Perfect for the gym, as a weekend bag, or a gear bag.

It is recommended that you choose one that is medium sized and, if at all possible, go for a brown leather option. Leather can be more versatile than canvas (dress it up or down) particularly when selecting a multi-purpose bag.

2.       The Briefcase

Sleek and slim, the briefcase is ideal for guys who need to carry around a laptop and a handful of documents. If you’re in a professional setting, choose a classic black leather briefcase. Or if you’re the casual type, try a canvas briefcase.

3.       The Backpack

A true men’s classic. This cross-generational options is well suited for any guy who prefers a hands-free option. A backpack can be ultra-versatile and is capable of holding quite a lot of stuff. Students, public transport commuters, biker riders, and weekenders all benefit from its rugged adaptability.

4.       The Tote

Totes are great simply because they can carry so much. They are basically a giant pocket hanging off your shoulder. If you’re looking for a great tote, choose a durable material like canvas or suede. Make sure you get one with handles long enough to be carried over your shoulder to free up your hands.

5.       The Luggage

There are literally hundreds of styles out there, so it really is about finding the piece that suits you best. From a practical standpoint, go for luggage with wheels and pick a neutral color like navy, grey, or black.  Are you the type to check your luggage? Or do you carry on? Be sure to plan accordingly and choose a versatile piece that will give you the freedom, flexibility, and functionality you need.
